In these unprecedented times, Evangel Home is taking steps to ensure the safety and health of everyone, whether staff, volunteer, or resident. Here are some of the ways that we are working to keep everyone healthy while still providing the care and lifestyle services to those who need it.

Are we taking donations?

We are currently accepting food, hygiene products, new items for gifts, paper goods (plates, cups, napkins etc.) and monetary donations.

For CLOTHING: We currently accept two bags per person to be dropped off between 9am – 3pm on Monday through Friday. For all other donation sizes, please email Jessica at volunteers@evangelhome.org.

For FURNITURE: Please email Ruby at crossroads@evangelhome.org. Please send a picture and approximate dimensions of the item(s).

What steps are we taking to make sure residents stay safe?

Masks are worn and temperature checks performed every day

-Reduced total capacity.
-Each person has their own room.
-Everyone wears a mask while in common areas, maintaining a 6-foot distance and washing hands often. We take temperatures morning and evening and when anyone enters the building.

What do I do if I need shelter during the pandemic?

STEP 1: CALL US for a phone interview Monday-Friday 9am-5pm – (559) 264-4714. Talk with the house manager on duty to arrange step #2.

STEP 2: Have the full interview. After being admitted, come directly to the home.

If we are unable to accommodate you, try calling 211. They are available 24 hours per day and can tell you available community resources that may be able to assist you.

This process will take some time so we ask for your patience as we are trying to ensure not only your safety but the others in the home as well. Thank you!

If I come to the home, what kind of restrictions do you have?

Pink markers on the floors help residents and workers to stay six feet apart

We follow the guidance given by the CDC and Fresno County Department of Health.

Please ask at the time of your interview what restrictions are currently in place. Please do NOT come if you have been sick or around someone you know who has COVID.

Continue to check this page for updates about restrictions or other covid-related information.
